Dr.
Thomas E. Knox attended the June 2000 course entitled "Elbow
Trauma: An Advanced Surgical Skills Course" at
the Mayo School of Continuing Medical Education at
Rochester, Minn.
The two-day, 14-credit hour course included meeting
with experts in orthopaedic surgery involving the elbow.
Dr. Knox was able to study the latest
information about causes of elbow
trauma and nonsurgical and surgical treatment options,
followed by post-operative rehabilitation. Course participation
included a surgical skills lab and a panel discussion
of cases.
Dr. Knox, who has practiced in Mountain Home since
1983, said he finds the Mayo courses extremely valuable. "To
attend an advanced course with these medical experts
is truly an outstanding opportunity. We are able to
quickly improve our knowledge and our skills. We try
to attend every year, and be among the leaders in the
field of orthopaedic surgery."
