Keep
our team in mind if you overdo your favorite sport
and suffer an injury. The Regional Orthopaedic Health
Care team includes: Dr. Thomas Knox.
The Regional Orthopaedic Health Care team
knows sports.
We know how the body responds to stretching,
running, passing, sliding, swinging, kicking, dunking,
tackling...all the things you love to do. And we know
what to do when the game impacts the body with bruises,
pains, sprains, pulls, twists, tears, cracks, and fractures.
Sports can be hard on an athlete's muscles, ligaments,
bones, and joints. Conditioning and strengthening can
prevent many injuries such as:
- ACL tears
- Tennis & golf elbow
- Ankle sprains
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Shoulder bursitis
When an injury occurs, the ROHC team provides treatments
to restore and strengthen the body for the future.
- X-ray & MRI
- Exercise therapy/passive motion
exercise/isokinetic exercise
- Testing of muscle strength
- Reduction of inflammation
- Phonophoresis
- Physical Therapy
